PEERS® for Young Adults Social Skills Groups

For Young Adults (18-38 years old) with social challenges but highly motivated to make and keep friends and/or to develop romantic relationships. Participants will learn and practice conversational skills, handling disagreements, dating skills, strategies for handling sexual pressure. The program may be appropriate for adults with ASD, ADHD, and other social and behavioral disorders.

Event-Driven Social Skills Programs

Personalized social skills coaching for key events such as interviews, birthdays, dances, concerts, helping individuals gain confidence through tailored support based on their needs and learning styles. This can also include a detailed accessibility analysis where we work together to identify the accommodations that willl help you succeed in any social context.

Individualized Social Skills Programs

For young adults who choose a slower pace of instruction and more opportunities to practice. Tailored instruction is based on thorough social skills assessments in collaboration with the individual and their caregivers. We formulate goals giving priority to those which have lasting social impact and daily significance.

Social Skills Groups

Try & Thrive programs teach essential social and communication skills, including recognizing and interpreting social cues (e.g., body language), perspective taking, conversation skills, asking for information, problem solving. The skills are taught through various interactive activities, videos, scripts, role play, and personalized feedback. Parents receive training to encourage and support the individual apply learned skills outside of the classroom.
